Certification Scholarships

NOMINATIONS ARE NOW OPEN FOR THE 2017 NFPA CERTIFICATION SCHOLARSHIPS

Nita Serrano RP®, NFPA VP & Director of Paralegal Certification announced that the Paralegal Education Group will be the sponsor for NFPA’s PACE and PCCE Scholarships again this year. These scholarships cover the costs of a review manual, a PEG online review course and the exam fee for either the Paralegal CORE Competency Exam™ (PCCE) or the Paralegal Advanced Competency Exam® (PACE).

All completed applications must be post-marked by July 1, 2017, to be considered.

NOMINATIONS ARE NOW OPEN FOR THE OPA CERTIFICATION SCHOLARSHIPS FOR THE 2017/2018 YEAR

We are excited to announce that the OPA Board of Directors has approved certification scholarships for the 2017/18 fiscal year. Click here for the OPA Certification Scholarship Guidelines and Application.

At the April 5, 2017 Board Meeting, the Board approved funds for one PACE® Scholarship and one PCCE™ Scholarship to be awarded at the OPA Annual Meeting to be held in November. The application must be postmarked by August 31, 2017, to be considered.

If you are interested in participating in the ad hoc committee to review the applications for the scholarships, please contact OPA’s Certification Ambassador, Linda Odermott, RP®, OCP at dlsodermott@gmail.com. Most of the review can be done via email, but we will have one in-person meeting in September to determine scholarship recipients.

NFPA CERTIFICATON SCHOLARSHIPS AWARDED FOR 2016

NFPA awarded the PACE® Scholarship and PCCE™ Scholarship at the 2016 Convention in Vermont

Brittney L. Hayes of the Paralegal Association of Central Ohio was awarded the PACE® Scholarship, and

Kimberly P. Morton of the National Capital Area Paralegal Association was awarded the PCCE™ Scholarship! Congratulations to both winners!

OPA CERTIFICATION SCHOLARSHIPS AWARDED FOR 2016/17

OPA once again awarded two Certification Scholarships for the 2016/2017 fiscal year – 1 for PACE® and 1 for PCCE™.

Niki Harrison for winning OPA’s PCCE™ Scholarship

Each year, the recipients have  until April 30th to use the proceeds of their scholarships which may include:

  • The Certification Exam;
  • The Study Manual;  and
  • Any Application Fees.
