The Mandatory Reporter Training equips participants with the skills, knowledge and tools to report information about potential child abuse to the appropriate resources. This training clarifies a Mandatory Reporter’s responsibility in reporting possible child abuse as well as educates those who are not mandatory reporters on how to make a report of suspected child abuse. In the Mandatory Reporter Training, participants will learn how, who and when to make a report of child abuse regardless of whether it is a mandatory report or a voluntary report. Additional information regarding how Child Welfare uses the information reported is also included in the training. Individuals who are not Mandatory Reporters will benefit from learning when and how to make voluntary reports of suspected child abuse.
