OREGON PARALEGAL ASSOCIATION
Paralegals will be provided a stepping stone into the trust administration area of law. We will discuss the important terms to know when administering a trust, such as the difference between a grantor and trustee. We will discuss relevant Oregon statutes and IRS issues that guide the trust administration process, including the duties of a successor trustee. This presentation will educate you in assisting your attorneys by identifying and documenting required information, tickling important deadlines, informing successor trustees on what to expect from the job, and carrying out the trust administration process according to statute.
